I ordered the drawings from Jordan Lake Aero day before yesterday; they will be coming via USPS. I reserved the N number with the FAA as N907VK.
I have spent several hours researching data about the AirBike Tandem and have begun to build files pertinent to this build.
I will be modifying this airframe to handle the larger Viking 90 engine and the stress it may casue the airframe by makeing plans to upgrade the longerons and wing attach assemblies to handle the HP. I am also going to modify the landing gear for the heavier weight of the airframe & engine.
A comperhensive CG data log will be kept during the build to ensure that the finished aircraft will be safe and meet all airworthiness standards for the Experimental Light Sport category
I have added my wife Donna since it was she who urged me to build another airplane ....
I'm going to get training to do MIG welding so this is a new skill set for me.
