Short Description: Correcting messed up parts
|
Received new R-710. Trimmed the hatched areas on the blueprint, but I cut above the guide holes in the middle this time. Clecoed -710, -704, -717, -802, and -405PD together and drilled the -704 to -710 holes that we messed up the first time. I also realized that we could've looked through the -710 lightening hole to avoid the mistake in the first place. Oh, well! Disassembled, deburred holes, smoothed edges on grinder and dimpled.
Clecoed new VS-410 top/upper piece to VS-808 and -803 and drilled/match drilled to #30, disassembled and deburred.
Drilled new HS-703 for the left side to #30 and #40 as appropriate, deburred and dimpled.

Much better hole placement this time!

We could have used the lightening hole to check alignment of the -710 with the spar.
