Short Description: The new and improved throttle cable hole
|
Remember the very carefully measured and located holes for the throttle and choke cables? Well, the arrival of the new and supposedly correct throttle cable revealed that they were in the wrong location. Yep - all of the previous effort to get everything correct was for naught. (It's too long of a story to share.) That's not quite correct as I'm going to attempt to use what would have been the throttle cable hole for the choke.
Because the new location is in a much harder place to drill (did I mention that the holes had to go in the STAINLESS-STEEL firewall and I don't enjoy that kind of drilling activity?), I made a drill guide to improve the possibility and probability of success as eyeball pass throughs require seven pretty accurately located holes.
So far, so good. The proof will be in the pudding - tomorrow.
