Brief Description:  Door inge pins / route elevator cables / adjust ho

No pics.

I had purchased some hinge pin material at OSH this summer, but for some reason I thought it would be too thick to solve my door problems. I found a piece of Sonex pin and tried that - it fit perfect. Turns out it was .086" vs the .097 pin material that was inside my dorr hinges.I spoke with Roger and he told me that the door hinges come from Zenair Canada. No wonder they are so odd. I think they're metric. Anyway, The hinge pin material I purchased at OSH was long enough for all 4 pieces (2 per door), so I cut them to length and installed. Soi easy. The left door had some binding on the spar mount bracket rivets, so I used a sanding drum and took off a tiny bit of the door material. Closes smoothly now.

One of my elevator cables fell inside the fuselage during the move to the hangar, so I borrowed a neighbor's fish tape and snaked it back into position. Secured both ends to avoid any future issues. Ran a light to check inside the fuselage tail cone to ensure that re-running the cables didn't have them wrapped around the rudder cables.

Spent quite a bit of time shimming, repositioning the horizontal stab and checking all 3 alighment axes. Was very humid and hot, so got it close. Didn't drill because I'd like to have more time and it was running late.

Lastly, chenged-out the dessicant matierial for my engine dehydrator.
