Brief Description:  Part 3: Throttle cable preliminary fitment

Zenith provides a dual throttle cable clamp that works quite well. It is designed to be mounted to the engine mount stud that also secures the oil tank filler neck.

First up I had to remove the existing nut, then drill-out the cable mount since the holes were too small.

I then installed the double cable mount. As shown in figure 1, this resulted in the cables being too high to connect to the carb throttle arm. Removed the cable clamp and banged on it in the vise. I didn't want to bang with it installed since it mounts to the lower "eye" holding the lower Lord mount for the engine. That would be expensive. Eyeballed the angle and decided to take a shot at it.

Reinstalled the dual clamp and test-fit the cables. Almost perfect alignment, shown in fig 3 below. Then I just had to flip the securing toggles riveted to the dual mount to secure the cable. Was hot and tired, so called it a day.
