Brief Description:  Check seat fit / start flaperon rig

No pics.

I had recalled that at least one builder noted that the seat belt retention bolts might hit on the inner edge of the seat bottom pan, so I checked it out. Removed the existing pan bolts to allow the pan to fit low as it should. Visual inspection identified the possible interference area. It appears, however, that with the seat spacers that fit on the adjustment mechanism, it will sit high enough to miss the bolt head. Any interference can be filed away easility.

Started rigging the flaperons. Removed the previously installed bolts holding the vertical and horizontal flaperon retention bolts (were just lightly installed to avoid threading on the nylok feature). First step was to ensure the flap motor had run its course full up and down, then left in the up position. The horizontal control rods are adjusted to where the tops of the bellcranks are level with the mixer tube, then the vertical control rods are adjusted to set the flaperons even with one another. The final step involves checking the neutral angle of the flaperon edges; this is where I ended today's work. Because I haven't tightened the retention hardware, there's pretty good slop in the vertical rods, so the next time I'll tighten them to see where that gets me. Pretty close right now, but not fully even.
