I first drew the string across the wings to check for dihedral, but mostly to see how in-line the main spar rivet lines were. Not bad. They don't HAVE to be aligned. Still. Was surprised to see how high the string was above the ribs. Is supposed to be 85; it was over 160mm. Will have to shorten my wing stands.
Next, I had to trim a bit from the aft spar doubler; it was preventing the wing from rotating backwards as far as it needed to be. Just tedious.
Lastly, there are 4 inspection covers on the underside of the wings. Two had all the nutplates already riveted in place. One had about 5 nutplates that had to be installed, and the last plate (inner left wing) had all 10 needing to be instaslled. I think I ran out of nutplates a few years ago when I was building the wings, so now it was catch up time.
