Today has 3 separate posts; the hours are reflected on this post, but I had too many pics to all fit in the 3 pic limit.
first off today was finishing-up the carb heat box, filter, and cable control. Most of the time was spent installing these tiny little pins in the retainer posts for the air filter. You insert these filter securing pins into the air filter, then install these tiny little pins inthe bottom of the bigger pins. These act like a mini dzus fastener to secure the filter ontot the housing by engaging into a special receptacle shown in the second figure below. These pins are a super PITA to get in; I probably spent an hour just installing these little end pins and getting the filter installed.
