Brief Description: Dimple fuel tank skins and start prosealing
Thanks to Mike Cencula (http://www.our7a.com/) who lent me his tank dimple dies, I was able to proceed dimpling the fuel tank skins. Both Janice and Renee assisted me today.
DJ Lauritsen from Cleaveland Tools is mailing out a replacement set of tank dies at no charge tomorrow. I'll probably be done with them by the time they arrive.
18-5 Steps 2 & 3 Fabricated and installed small plates to cover the two tool holes on each of the inboard fuel tank ribs. Attach the finger strainer flange, anti-rotation plate, and the nutplates to the inboard fuel tank rib. All parts sealed with proseal.
As you can see, my sealing job isn't pretty, but hopeflly leak proof. I clearly spent more time on this task than needed. I hope that I'll develop a more proficient process with the proseal as I go forward.
