Brief Description: Started fuselage construction
|
|
25-2, Steps 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, & 9
Fabricated two F-1004N siffners from AA6-063x 3/4 x 3/4. Match drilled #30 holes between the stiffner angles and the center section bulkhead.
Cleco'd right and left mid seat rail supports. Match drilled #30 all holes in common with the seat rails and the center section bulkhead. Final drilled the #40 and #19 holes for the nutplates. Countersunk the holes for a #8 screw. Match drilled #12 holes on the seat rails and center section bulkhead.
25-3, Steps 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 & 8
Steps 1 and 3 were already done from Van's.
Final drilled the #12 hole in the upper flange of both the landing gear mounts and the center section bulkhead. Machine countersunk two holes to fit a #10 screw per the plans.
Enlarged the two holes on each bulkhead with a unibit to 3/4" for a snap bushing.
Deburred, roughed up with a scotchbrite, cleaned, and primed all parts. I've switched to NAPA 7220 self etching primer for the interior parts, since they will must likely will be top coated later.
