Wrapped up the tail today. Riveted the A5 rivets inside the vertical fin/rudder channel; tried last week, but riveter head too big. Brought my filed=down riveter and it fit fine.
Once that was done I reinstalled the rudder and installed the hinge pin. Drilled the lower hinge segment and inserted safety wire to keep the pin from falling out.
I then riveted the A4 rivets that connected the lower fin skin segment to the lower edge of the vertical fin.
Lastly I rivetd the rudder cable fairing and fairlead segments. Some folks fasten the fairlead material INSIDE the fuse, but my arm wouldn't fit in the top hole with room to read the fairlead location. Zenith says I'm fine installing the fairlead on the outside, under the fairing. I had to file the left side rudder cable outlet hole to prevent the cable from rubbing on the fuselage side.
I also swapped out the dessicant crystals in my engine dehydrator.
