Brief Description: Worked on elevator cable pulleys.
The placement of upper and lower elevator cable pulleys is up to the builder. Aim is to prevent cable rubbing on the fuselage.
I attached the elevator cables to the control bellcrank in the cockpit, then secured the other ends in the tail area. Used the cables to determine the placement of the lower pulley. Spent time fabricating L angle brackets for the upper and lower pulleys. Brought home the angles to smooth out a bit since I didn't have my Scotchbrite wheel at the hangar.
Mounted the upper vertical stabilizxer bracket. Since most folks work the tail before the fuselage, it was just cleco'd onto the vertical stab for the past few years. I'm curious if I'm going to have any interference from the elevator horn.
