I really went thru dremel sanding drums trimming the elevator down-stop! Ran out the other day, so brough additional today. Still went thru 2 more! Continued trimming the elevator horn to adjust where it hits the elevator down stop, AKA the upper vertical tail mount bracket. Finally achieved the 18 deg +/- 2 deg tolerance. Another builder sent a great pic showing how much he trimmed his.
Next, I attached the upper & lower cables to the elevator control horns; I wanted to see how much room I had to trim to achieve the 28 deg of upper elevator deflection; gave a nice visual of a rigged airplane! I also wanted to see how close the cable would come to the access hole on the upper fuselage skin. It fits well!
Lastly, I installed the upper elevator cable pulley in front of the horizontal stsabilizer.
