Brief Description: Work on elevator travel / attach counterweights /
Frustrating day. Late september and 70% humidity.
Started using a dremel with a sanding drum to remove material from the lower cable horn on the elevator to where it stops against the upper vertical tail bracket. Ruined two drums (sigh) and decided to resume when I had more on hand.
Attached a Dzus retainer ring to the oil check door Dzus; fits well and does what it's supposed to do.
Bolted the previously checked-out elevator counterweights.
Spent a lot of time with two iPhone levels (both of which read differently!), and my larger digital levels to evaluate my trim work as noted above. Frustrating.
