Drilled holes on the upper/lower cowl seam to cleaco them together. This made it MUCH easier to wrangle the cowl as an assembly. With just the tape ti was flopping around.
Trimmed the aft edge of the cowl assembly. Once installed, it's obvious I can still trim somre more.
It was also obvious that the opening in the cowl for the air filter element was hitting, preventing the cowl from sitting far enough aft to allow prop clearance. Did a few on-and-off iterations to trim that back a bit. Pretty happy now, but will make another go of it after OSH.
Had to trim more on the very upper part of the cowl, as it was pushing into the windshield weatherstripping. Also obvious that I scratched it enough I'll have to repaint that upper flange once I'm done.
