Brief Description: Finish windshield and mapped-out upper window
Good progress today.
First task was to drill the windshield side edge to match the previously drilled holes in the vertical cabin fram tool, then secure the outer trim piece to the windshield and cabin frame tube. Pretty straignt forward, just like yesterday.
Next up was drilling both the windshield and upper window acrylic to match the holes in the upper trim strip. The windshield side is also drilled into the upper tube of the cabin frame.. Pretty straight forward until the very last hole when I somehow generated a stress crack. Stop-drilled it as shown in the 2nd pic below.
Lastly, spent some time figuring how how I was going to attach the rear edge of the upper window. I determined the hole spacing for the 7 center holes, but the edge holes go through gussets that create a pretty good gap between the acrylic and metal. Sent a pic off to Zenith tech support so hopefully I'll have an answer in the AM.
