Brief Description:  Insulating the front floor area

Started to rivet the middle cabin decks today, which called for AN426AD3-5 rivets. The -5's were too short and didn't meet spec on the shop head. All I had were -6's which were too long. I have to order some -5.5's from Aircraft Spruce this evening to finish.

I had a couple bad rivets on the lower channel on the left side. I drilled them out and replaced them.

I started working on insulating the front seat floor areas. Since each piece of insulation has to be custom fitted, the process took a little longer than I anticipated. I'm using a thin piece of aluminum sheathed insulation for heat and another piece of insulation for sound. The combination of the two should work to keep the cockpit cooler and quieter.

I'm not sure if I'm going to put the sound insulation in the outside bay yet. It may be too bulky to attempt to insert a piece.
