Using the bottom cowl as a guide, mark the split line on the lop cowl. Remove the lop cowl and remove the material below the split line. Remove the 1/8" spacers from the front of the top cowl. Adjust the split line to obtain a .020 to .032 gap (approximately the width of a hacksaw blade) between the top and bottom cowls.
Brad assisted me this evening. We still have a couple issues with the cowl to resolve. The right front corner needs some additional material removed, as well as a couple spots along the side. There is also a spot of the front of the bottom cowl behind the spinner that needs about 1/16" removed.
The vertical stabilizer was re-installed this evening.
