I had noticed Kerry's canopy lock placard in the Sonex Flight Manual, so I decided to duplicate. Worked in Powerpoint to create the text box along with arrow and bullseye. Printed it onto an Avery adhesive label. Applied clear packing tape over top of it, then cut out using a razor and straight edge. Applied.
Next, I installed the left fuselage applique decal showing the paint runs.
Lastly, I sanded, then compounded and waxed the left horizontal stab tip along with the aileron tip ribs. Paint appears to be a bit different between the fiberglass and the metal tips, but I used the same primer and the same can of color. Oh well, close enough.
Obviously I haven't gotten much done lately - mostly just because there isn't a lot left to do! Still travelling a lot (went to NJ last week), and yard work this time of year has taken a lot of time.
The good news is that I located a nice, relatively new hangar, and take possession on May 1st. Some day soon after that once I line up the trailer and friends, we'll be making the trek to the airport. Have also spoken with the tower crew and my selected DAR; both are OK with the field for first flight and the 40 hr fly-off. The tower was especially helpful and enthusiastic about it.
