Brief Description:  Elevator Control Linkage / Trim Lever-Cable

Puttered around the shop sorting things out a bit. Did a rivet count, as I got to thinking about the lower aft skin - that takes a BUNCH of rivets. Also went thru other plans sections (like for the wing walk doublers, panel, etc.) to get rivet counts. Looks like I'm going to have to order 600 more rivets! (400 -42's, and 200 -44's).

Installed the control stick assy and control rods in the fuselage. Noticed that I didn't have an SF-812-4 oilite bushing as called out by the plans for one side of the stick assy. Will see if local suppliers have one. Other issues were that I had to remove and reinstall the idler rod; one end is on the left of the stick assy, and the other end is on the right side of the idler pivot - would jam with both on one side. (Note: the lowered seat option instructions don't say anything about this.)

Once I got the stick assy in place, it's obvious I'm going to have to add rivets to fill some gaps between the assy and the attach angles. Additionally, the instructions say to have the sticks full forward, and shim them so there's 1/16" clearance between the stick frame and the spar tunnel. The tunnel rivets were sticking out further than 1/16th, so I have a note in to Kerry to see what they advise.

Lastly, I rigged the trim tab cable. Re-attached the trim lever assy to the attach angles (had to remove to rig the wings). Clamped the cable housing in place, routed the cable thru the cable lock, and tightened. The instructions say that the cable lock shoulder and screw should both be facing the inner cockpit; unfortunately, the screw is too short to lock the cable then. I had to shave down the hex head of the receptacle to allow sufficient screw depth to secure the cable.
