Spent about 2.5 hrs talking with a visitor who contacted me after seeing this website. I just tend to talk and talk - which for an introvert engineer is unusual. Guess I just like talking about Sonex and homebuilt aircraft.
Spent the remaining time tying-down the loose engine compartment wires into some semblance of a wiring harness.
Some builders have mentioned that the cable ties will cut into the powder coat of the engine mount, which could ultimately cause rust and possible compromise of the mount. I found some high-temp self-fusing tape at Lowes, so at each spot I used a cable tie, I first wrapped the mount with the tape. Hopefully this will help.
