Most of the afternoon was spent airplane related, but I'm not charging to airplane production.
I decided to cut-down (reduce) the length of the Sonex Parts Pallet Workbench that I used for the past 2+ years in order to provide room for the tail with the plane parked in the garage.
Basically, I cut off one end, but retained the overlap lip on the end to allow the use of clamps on the edge of the table.
The ""real"" time spent working on the plane was gathering kit parts related to the canopy construction. I also cut the blanks related to the canopy lock/latch mechanism. These were 3 blanks of 1/8"" aluminum, each 1"" x 1.875 or 2"" long. The 3rd piece was 1.875 x 0.875. Rounded the corners. Note: I could not find any 1/8"" stock, so I ripped one side of a piece of angle stock to gain the required material. Smoothed the cut side with my Vixen file - very nice finish.
