Brief Description:  Prep for wiring

It's been a frustrating holiday period. Had some major plumbing problems, work was a hassle at the start of the holiday period, then we had to take a day to install a new bathroom floor (unrelated to the plumbing issue).

There was also frustration on my part not knowing what to do next. I thought I would continue with fuselage preparation by installing the glareshield, fuel tank, and upper firewall. I got to thinking about it, though, and in checking other builder websites, saw that some ran their wiring before the glareshield is installed, if for nothing other than not having to crawl under there once the tank was in place. So, I posted a query on the SonexTalk discussion group, and 100% of the replies said to do the wiring and firewall stuff NOW.

I ordered some wire, hardware, throttle cables, etc.from Wicks, and had them sent 2-day air. They should be here on the 30th, which will give me 4-5 days to get some stuff done and salvage the holiday period. I could also mount the tail, but really need to re-arrange the work tables and all before doing that.

So, I've spent some time studying other builder's wiring diagrams, the AeroVee firewall forward book, etc. I searched for the firewall-related parts in the AeroVee boxes (coils & voltage regulator) so that I'll be ready to go when the other parts arrive.

Lastly, the weather has been quite cold, which makes heating the garage a challenge. Whine whine whine.
