Just spent time tidying up behind the panel in preparation for riveting.
Noticed the other day that the pilot's headphone jack was a little loose, so I tightened that.
Next up, the ELT is wired to a panel remote switch via telephone extension cord, There was more than enough, so I borrowed my neighbor's RJ11 crimp tool and cut the wire to length and crimped a new end onto it. Didn't work; turned the ELT on as soon as I connected the wire. Evidently the wires were touching inside the connector; cut that off, stripped and installed a new one. Perfect.
Cut the OAT sensor wire and re-crimped that into the harness; had a lot of spare cable.
Extending the length of the backup battery wires; they were too short, preventing safe routing of the AHRS/backup batt harness.
Replaced the memory backup battery in the Enigma EFIS; they say it should be replaced every two years, and I've had the Enigma for one year already.
