Brief Description:  Upper / Lower Tail Spar Mount Angles

Good progress; not a lot, but good progress.

Removed lower tail spar channel from the tail assy. Positioned into place in the tail; drilled and cleco'd into position. Had to ensure that the upper mount angle that is already assembled to the spar piece fits flush against the underside of the longerons.

Most time spent on the lower mount angle. This one is not yet drilled for the tail spar piece. Clamped into place numerous times with various assemblages of clamps, etc., to hold in place. Didn't look right, and appeard to want to pull the longerons out of plumb when I clamped them to the angle.

It finally dawned on me that the angle (part of the machined angle kit option) was a bit too wide, and the corners were still at right angles - they would need to be chamferred to fit against the slight fillet of the longerons. Once I applied a chamfer, the angle fit almost perfectly. The only remaining item is to reduce the angle of the bend just a bit; there's a very slight gap at the upper edge of the angle where it mounts against the tail spar, but the lower side fits OK; opening up the angle should solve that.
