Brief Description: Sanding / Rod End Bearings / More Sanding
Just some varied stuff today. Things are going to be slowing down now. I've decided that my paint is wrinking because I'm re-coating too close to the prior paint or sanding work, so I'm going to allow closer to 5 days between activities.
Sanding the turtledeck formers to get rid of some wrinkles. Also sanded the left cowl half, which received its first color coat two days ago. Still have to go back over it with 400 grit paper. The worst side of this cowl is the lower side; top and side are remarkably very smooth.
Dug out the remaining rod end bearings for the control rods. Using a vise, I press-fitted oilite bushings into the rod end "ends" to allow use of AN-3 HW. Drilled witness holes in all the rod end bearings to ensure that enough control rod thread remains in the rod end.
