Brief Description:  More Putty & Sanding

Lots of time on tedious stuff today.

Scraped off most of the paint on the right wingtip; it just kept orange-peeling up like it was going to peel off the fiberglass. Fortunately, a razor blade was able to scrape off most of it since it was pretty thick, all the way down to the first primer coat I had applied. Spent a lot of time on this. Feathered with sandpaper the paint to glass edges, then applied 3 coats of Metal Putty, letting it dry and sanding smooth between each coat.

Next, applied a second coat of putty to the left cowl half; let it dry, sanded smooth, then primered the putty part on that half. Looks good. I think I'll be able to prime the rest of it, then color coat the left half.

The right side had not had any of the Metal Putty put on it yet; I had only sanded-down the Nitro-Stan. Applied a coat of putty, let it dry. Sanded smooth and applied a second coat. Set aside to dry.
