Finished running / securing xpndr coax - had to get new zip ties after yesterday. Trimmed comm cable to length; installed BNC crimp connector.
Riveted the support "platform" for the AHRS unit. Youc an see it just to the right of the center control idler rod in pic 1 below.
Since I had not finished the idler arm installation the other day due to paint drying, finished tine installation of that. Installed the elevator pushrod end fitting onto the elevator rod (had to trim it shorter the other day). There was now freeplay in the linkage, which is what I wanted. Removed the end fitting and drilled 3 AN3 holes in it. Put back in place. Set the 1/16" shim under the control sticks and set the length of the pushrod. Secured. Drilled through the pilot holes, then up-drilled to 11/64", then reamed to 3/16" for tight-fit holes. Installed 2 out of the 3 required AN3-12A bolts (was short one).
Installed foam grips on the control sticks. Trimmed off the ends of the grips (intended use was for bicycle grips). Slipped into place on a piece of 1" tubing, then tapped with the hammer - die-cut the end out just fine.
Silicone'd bushings in aft fuselage - they were a little bit loose. These just serve as protection for the elevator pushrod and rudder cables.
