Brief Description: Cut / drill wheelpants; trim leg fairings & hinges
Drilled the holes to fasten the outer side of the wheelpants to the axle.
Drilled a 1.75" hole to form the radius of the gear leg axle housing on the backside of each pant, along with qyt 4, 1/8" pilot holes where the pants will be screwed to the brake backing plates.
Sanded all edges and test fit.
Next, I trimmed the left and right gear leg fairings. This was a trial-and-error deal, with the right side requiring two trimmings and the left side requiring three. These were to achieve the required overall length. Then there were many smaller adjustments in the area of the brake cable actuation lever, mounting hardware, etc.
Cut left and right gear fairing piano hinge halves to the correct length. Will drill and rivet these tomorrow.
