Brief Description:  Install Baffle Seals

Installed most of the baffle seals today.

Started with the oil cooler inlet. I used a single piece, wrapped all the way around the opening. See pic 3 below which shows the start/end seam point. The second picture looks a bit lop-sided, but it's just due to the springiness of the upper baffle.

Next up was the right side fence baffle, then the left, and finally the aft baffle seal.

For all seals, I was somewhat surprised at how easy the cleco's poked thru the baffle seal material. I would first drill pilot holes in the retention strips, then use those do drill the matching holes in the baffles attached to the engine. Next, I supported the seal in place with one hand while poking a cleco thru the engine baffle, thru the seal material, and then poke it thru the retention strip. I cleco'd every other hole. I then ran a 1/8" drill thru the remaining holes, "drilling" thru the seal material. This made it easier to push the rivet thru the material. I then removed the remaining cleco's, ran a drill thru those holes, and riveted the final holes.

Wrapped up the day be removing the front baffle piece and am about1/2 way thru the initial drilling of the retention strips. Just have to finish that up, secure the seal, and I'll be done with the baffles.
