Brief Description:  Cooling Openings & Fuel Filler Door

Nothing difficult, minor rework.

Started off by cutting-out the cowl pieces for the cylinder cooling intakes. They're set-back differently. The left side cowl is for the cylinders that are closer to the front of the engine (remember, each side is offset slightly to allow the conn rods to fit the crank). The openings are tapered. As a result, cutting the right side "shallower" (as in, closer to the front of the cowl) actually opens up more intake area; the left cowl has the openings set back a bit more, resulting in slightly less intake area.

Once I filed and scotchbrite-padded the openings, I started on the fuel filler door. I got one side cut out and radius'd the edges, but I just didn't like the smoothness of the metal. I had used a scrap piece of .025" stock, and one edge had a slight ripple to it. So, I found another piece of scrap and cut that out. Cut hinges to length from scrap hinge stock, and measured and marked their location on the filler door. Did not drill yet; rivets will be flush rivets (countersunk) for a smooth cowl.
