Just when I thought it was "good enough" I figured that I could do just a bit of a better job. I had the right side of the cowl taped so tightly to the fuselage that it was bowing-out the forward lower "bowl" of the cowl. Not much - it could be pressed into position, and would theoretically hold with the hinge in place, but I can do better than that.
Trimmed up a few of the centerline areas where things were rubbing just a bit too much - I figured that would also reduce some pressure points, perhaps letting things settle a little mroe naturally.
