Didn't have too much time to work on the plane tonight; life got in the way.
I purchased a fiberglass kit today in prep for a) building the "tab" that goes under the prop hub, and b) filling in the errantly-drilled lower hinge holes on the right cowl. My neighbor said he had some better stuff for the hole filling (will still use the mat for the tab to be made), so we'll tackle that next.
I was frustrated that my blue masking tape wouldn't hold the cowl in position for drilling; tried some clear packing tape, and it worked great. You can see it if you look hard enough in the pic below.
I also found a better light source that will shine thru the cowl better, illuminating the new holes to be drilled in the cowl.
Like I said, mostly aligning, making sure everything fit as it did last night, did some marking for further trim areas on the top of the cowl, and getting ready for the patchwrok.
