Once the fuel line was appropriately firesleeved, I installed it to the carb & gascolator. Note the routing of the line in pic 2 below. I chose this route because all handbooks say to route the hose so that if any drips occur, they do not drip on the exhaust (smart, eh?).
Once the fuel line was installed, I then removed the mixture cable cable clamp in order to apply loctite 242. Marked the cable so I could reposition if it slipped - which it did.
Next, I safey-wired the carb to the intake manifold. The carb is a "spigot" mount which means it's held to the manifold by a short length of hose & 2 clamps. Each end of the carb is safety-wired to one side of the manifold so that if the clamp loosens, the carb will still say attached.
Lastly, I applied loctite 242 to the air cleaner attachment bolt and installed the air cleaner.
