Received my new oil pump from Sonex today. I had to return the original one because the pump cover was not tapped for one oil cooler line.
In checking out the pump clearances, there appears to be slight scoring in the bottom of the pump, but it may be OK. I've asked Sonex for an opinion. Also, the pump gear backlash seems a bit too sloppy.
I then rounded up some hardware to install the prop bushings. I didn't have the recommended 5/16" bolt, so I used a 1/4" AN bolt I had available. While the bushing installed OK, I was concerned about ruining the AN hardware with the torque I was applying to it, so I'll wait until I get the correct bolt. The small abrasion area in the pic below was due to the inside of the socket pinching the bushing. Since it's on only about 1/32" of the bushing, there is no loss of structural integrity where I filed it smooth.
