Disassembled the canopy latch rail assembly. Located and pilot-drilled the latch plate piece. Updrilled. Had to mill the underside of the rail because the radius of the piece would not allow countersunk rivets to be installed.
Countersunk the rivet holes. Using the narrow Arrow brand riveter, I still had to bend the rivet stems and use a wedge piece to get them pulled just right. Some rework on one rivet required. Reassembled.
Removed 1"" of protective film from the top and underside edges of the canopy transparency material. Deburred all holes. Found one 3/16"" stress crack on one hole on the pilots side rail. It will be covered by the side trim piece of aluminum, so Istop-drilled it.
Sanded all edges smooth; filed edges to give a slight radius.
