Brief Description: Install Tailwheel / Motor Mount Lower Bolts
Since the paint was now dry on the tailwheel weldments, I finished installing the tailwheel pivot and wheel itself. Aligned vertically and tightened.
Did initial trial fitting of tailwheel steering pushrod. One end is drilled, the other is not in order to accomodate slight differences in construction. Clamped the rudder to the center position, aligned the tailwheel straight, and marked the pushrod in the correct position. Removed pushrod and drilled to 3/16". Re-installed to verify evertying remained straight; it was. Had to only test install, since I was short one clevis bolt. Will have to order from ACS.
Lastly, I installed the washers and nuts on the lower motor mount - what a hassle, with lots of dropped washers, etc. Finally got both initially threaded. Found my #3 phillips bit. Will re-align (is off slightly) and tighten the next time I'm in the shop.
