Brief Description: Gascolator Reinforcement, Part II
I wasn't too satisfied with the .050 reinforcement I made last night, so I posted a query on the SonexTalk Yahoo board. Another builder (Thanks, Doug!) responded that they took a spare section of channel stock, reduced the sides to clear the rudder pedals, and riveted it in place top and bottom.
I tried this tonight. While the overall result looks better, and while it does give a slightly stiffer firewall, it still oil-cans more than I'd like.
I may just leave it with this new channel; I'm gonna sleep on it.
