Previously, I had drilled the rib holes in the elevator skin, but had not positioned or drilled the ribs and hinge locations. Positioned ribs and drilled pilot holes Messed up one of the ribs (1 of 2 SNX-T07-02) by thinking I could *pull* it into position with a cleco on the hinge flange. Thought all was OK, then, after I drilled the holes into the rib, I noticed the flange of the skin was significantly bowed inward. Used the other good rib for the inner (center) rib, and used the now junk one as the outer rib more of a stiffener than anything. Ordered a new rib from Sonex; should be sent Monday. Was really hoping to have the entire stabilizer done by AirVenture, but it looks like that's not gonna happen.
Up-drilled all the holes to #30. Disassembled all, deburred. Riveted the center inner rib to the skin, riveted the hinge to the skin. Left the junk rib cleco'd in position for now. Left those holes @ #40.
