Welcome to my experimental aircraft Web site. I live in Orange County, California and I spent just over 8 years scratch building my Zenith CH 650 in my two-car garage. On September 13, 2014 I received my Special Airworthiness Certificate.
My light sport airplane is powered by a Corvair 164cid 100hp engine converted for aircraft use following the detailed conversion process perfected by William Wynne (www.FlyCorvair.com). This six-cylinder, horizontally opposed, air-cooled engine has powered hundreds of airplanes since its introduction in 1960.
The original motto of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) was "Learn Build Fly." I'm now 2/3rds of the way there. My first flight is likely to take place in late September.
