Brief Description: 2 - Made dash mat to stop reflection on canopy
While doing ground runs, it became clear that I was going to need to do something to cut down on the glare from the instrument panel top cover. All that gleaming aluminum was producing some very distracting glare. I also wanted something that would not represent a problem when I needed to open my instrument access panels. My solution was to go to an auto uphostery supply and get dashmat material and Velcro. The material doesn't require any edge finishing and the Velcro strips along the edges of the panel top cover were easy to apply. When I need to get into that area, I just pull off the dashmat and set it aside. Putting it back on is simply a matter or realigning then pushing down around the edges. I think I'm going to be very pleased with the quick and easy solution.
