Today the canopy came back off so I could updrill the holes in the left side to 9/64". This was easily done. I then updrilled the side strip and tube as well to #30, deburred everything and reinstalled the canopy. Finally I drilled the pilot holes through the canopy that will attach it to the bows, the, I just "marked" the bows themselves with the drill tip. Took the canopy back off and finished drilling the holes in the bows to 3/32 followed by #36. With the canopy installed, it is amazing how much it "buldges out" on the sides to provide more headroom. I never noticed this on any other pictures from other builders but it can really only be seen when looking at the airplane from the front. The last picture shows this "buldge".
