Tonight I cut the pushrods to length and did initial adjustments of the valves. Nothing difficult about any of this, the length for the pushrods is measures once on each side with an adjustable pushrod tool and then the pushrods are very easily cut with a tubing cutter. Afterwards the valves are adjusted with screws on the rocker arms. When all that was finished I installed the valve covers, I have the original VW covers but I might replace them with aluminium bolt-on covers later.
