Brief Description:  Accessory plate details.

I decided to address some cosmetic details.
My plate was custom designed to fit a D2000 magneto and machined by Scott at Hummel engines.
If you look at some of the earlier pictures of my engine you might notice there was an issue when Scott combined the machine program with his own standard program to locate the cap screws, the screws ended up right on the edge of the plate.
The screws were re-located and given there were no structural consequences, the plate was kept. The issue turned out to be purely cosmetic.

I could have left it that way but now that I have everything apart anyway I decided to address the issue.
I filled in all the notches created at the edge of the plate with automotive filler and while I was at it I decided to also fill the cap screws themselves, this gives the plate a more finished look. Much like the AeroVee plate.
Once cured (in about 30 minutes) sanded and cleaned, I painted the plate in the same grey colour as the engine.
I'm happy with the look now.
