I've ordered a new piece of phenolic for the rudder pedal pivot block assembly, while I'm waiting for this to arrive, I started working on the engine mount installation. I test fitted the mount a few times tonight and made the standard .060" shims as per the plans, it appears I might need a little more than .060" on my installation although I think .09" might be too much, I'll have to try and see. It seems very difficult to correctly measure the precise position of how the mount needs to be installed, you need to measure the position of the lower attach points of the engine against the edge of the forward fuselage, I might have to build some sort of jig in order to do this properly, I'll need to think about this a bit.
