Today, I laid out and marked the pitot tube location. I then used a unibit to drill two starter holes in the skin adjacent to each other and almost the width of the needed opening to reduce the amount of trimming needed. Next, I used my Dremel tool with a cut-off wheel to further trim the perimeter up to the marked line. For final trimming I used a couple small abrasive wheels. Final fit turned out really nice and was almost perfect. To finish up for the day I match drilled holes through the forward flange of the mount to the skin and spar holes. Two holes were marked with the template on the aft portion of the mount and drilled through the skin and mount.
I will rivet the pitot mount whenever I decide to rivet the bottom skins and will leave the assembly clecoed in place for now.
