Brief Description:  Dynon Autopilot Roll Servo arrived from Avery.

While I was traveling this week for work the mounting bracket kit I ordered from Aircraft Spruce arrived. This kit is to mount the Dynon autopilot servo in the right wing. The servo will move the ailerons to keep the wings level and the plane on course when the autopilot is engaged.

While working on the landing light lens today the mail person delivered the pitot tube mount from SafeAir1 that I ordered from Avery. It looks of very good quality, is gold anodized aluminum, and is very light weight. I looked on the internet at several of these and this one was less expensive and much lighter weight. It will hold the heated pitot tube with angle of attach (AOA) indication that I also plan to buy from Dynon.

I am planning to use Dynon as my primary flight display and for engine and systems monitoring. By making this decsion now, I can install all of the needed brackets and mounts for the compatible components before the wings are done and skins riveted on. Installing this stuff now will be much easier and I can order the expensive components down the road. By waiting for the lights, servo, and pitot tube I hope to get the latest technology products at hopefully a lower price than I could get it for now. We will see how this strategy works out, but several builders that I follow on the net have done this with good success. We'll see.
