Brief Description:  Finished SNX-F06 / Glareshield

A productive day.

Started out by locating, drilling, and cleco'ing the tank stop angles. Updrilled as well.

Then moved on to the upper firewall and glareshield attach angles. When I initially located them, I could not pilot drill all the holes since other cleco's were in the way. So I removed the upper firewall and the angles, and drilled/up-drilled each angle in place on the glareshield. Then I removed the angles and drilled/up-drilled all holes on the firewall. Deburred all and reinstalled. This took a little extra time due to the stainless steel nature of the firewall (i.e., hard to drill, hard to deburr, etc.)

I was previously struggling with how I would locate the instrument panel lower cross-brace. It mounts from the bottom, with no pilot holes on the top, and my old body doesn't bend over and duck underneath the panel very well..... That, plus I could not determine how to hold it in place to center left-to-right and bring it far enough to where it abuts the panel. Then clarity happened, and I removed the corner panel angle attachments. This allowed me to get the swivel-jawed vise grips in there to hold it.

Once positioned, I drilled one hole on each side so I could use wing-nut cleco's to hold in in place, allowing me to remove the vise-grips. Finished drilling the other holes (4 total each side), but it took a lot longer because I had to use a 12" bit to allow flexing around the flap detents; that coupled with me bending over the fuse side just took longer.

Up-drilled all.
