I never thought I'd spend as much time trimming baffles as I did today.
Clamped the oil cooler to the lower case baffle to set the distance from the left exhaust header. Marked location for mounting holes. Removed baffle. Measured dimensions for the cutout to be done at the rear of the lower case baffle for the oil cooler. Cut the baffle. Left 5/8" of the opening remaining, then bent this up 90 deg to form an air dam in the baffle, forcing air down through the cooler. Spent a lot of on-and-off to trim the height of the dam, as well as cutouts in the center to accomodate engine case castings right in the center (visible in the pics below).
Cut a 1/2 moon notch in the forward mounting flange of the oil cooler in order to be able to drain the oil with the cooler in place.
Next, spent significant time trimming the upper case baffle that fits just above the lower baffle and forms a "mouth" for the air to be directed under the engine. Also bent the side flanges down that will rivet onto the lower case baffle. Just a lot of tedius adjustments.
