I found some polyethylene tubing at Lowes that was just a bit larger ID than the rudder cable diameter. I slit it down the side and installed it over the right side rudder cable. A one-foot length of it ensured that it would not get caught in the fuselage opening whether fully extended or retracted.
Next, I had primed the right wingtip yesterday, but it still had some "holidays" in the paint. I tried using the NitroStan to fill those blemishes, but that stuff is junk. Short story long, I started to just sand off all the primer; unfortunately, it stays somewhat flexible, so all it would do is gum up the sandpaper. I finally just took it all the way back down to the fiberglass. I have some sanding to do, but will give it another day or so to dry.
